Tram Anh Nguyen is the co-founder of the Centre for Finance, Technology and
Entrepreneurship. She comes with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry
and has worked across various sectors ranging from Capital Markets to Private Banking to
Family Offices. She has navigated between the corporate and entrepreneurial world, and knows
the excitement and challenges of entrepreneurship.
She started her career at Standard Chartered London as an intern and created the first
brochure describing the universe of emerging market currencies, which won the award of “Best
Marketing Tool” in 1999. She then moved to Standard Chartered New York, where the
Emerging Market desk offered her a position on the trading desk. Following this she became a
trader and market maker for Non Deliverable Forwards in Asian and African currencies, and was
part of the team that was ranked 1st for Asian FX by Euromoney in 2002.
She followed her journey with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson where she was responsible to set up
the “Market User Bank” desk. She then decided to switch career, to move into a role where
personal relationships and the human factor played a bigger role, and she joined UBS Wealth
Management as an Associate Director. At UBS, she worked and built trust relationships with
High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth families and assisted them with investment
strategies, real estate and philanthropy.
After many great years in wealth management, Tram Anh set up her own consulting business,
An Qi Consulting where she developed and helped her base of international clients with their
property needs in London. And in 2016, she also joined Niveda Family Office as an advisor to
help them with their non-investment activities.
In addition to her professional career, Tram Anh finds it important to give back, and over the
years has been involved in numerous charitable and social activities. She is a keen supporter of
EPIC Foundation, which is a new model of philanthropy for underprivileged children from all
over the world. She has been honoured with the title of ‘Friend of EPIC’ by the organisation for
her contributions and is part of the London Chapter.
Considered as a warm, friendly and trustworthy person amongst her friends and peers, Tram
Anh strongly believes that in a world dominated by technology, people must remain at the
centre of society and organisations, and that education and training are key to help individuals
adapt to a fast changing world. This was that motivation that drove her to launch CFTE, to help
finance professionals upskill, find more opportunities and build better finance.
Of Vietnamese origin, Tram Anh was born in France, has lived in Paris and New York, and is now
settled in London with her husband and three beautiful daughters. She has an understanding of
both Asian and Western cultures, and is fluent in English, French and Vietnamese.
