Douwe Lycklama (founding partner) is thought leader in payments, digital identity and b2b transactions.
Much of his work takes place at crossroads of business challenges, technological possibilities and regulatory developments, for clients from the financial industry, governments and corporates.
Today’s attention area’s include the API economy for the e-commerce and financial sector, cryptotechnologies, infrastructures (cards, SEPA – instant payments), digital identity and supply chain finance. Regulatory topics include PSD2, eIDAS and the EBA Guidelines for the Security of Internet payments. Overall passion: strategic developments and innovation in two sided markets.
He also has an extensive international network within leading public institutions such as European Central Bank, European Commission, European Banking Authority and Worldbank. Also he is a frequent public speaker including a role as chairman at EPCA Conference in Brussels, Global Payment Summit in Singapore and the NL based Online Payment Conference.
Douwe started his career with Philips Electronics (1990) where he worked for seven years in various international product marketing functions in the business of lighting and consumer electronics. Followed by a strategy consulting career with Adstrat (1997) and a mobile payments start up (2000, Ubiworks), Douwe started Innopay in 2002. Douwe holds a masters degree from Delft University of Technology.
