Alain is a serial technology entrepreneur and investor.

He is the co-founder & CEO of Yoyo Wallet, the mobile-first personalized marketplace powered by transaction data. Founded in London in 2013 Yoyo is now UK’s largest multi-retailer mobile wallet and is launching in the US and Singapore. Yoyo received KPMG’s Global Fintech 100 award. In 2000 he co-founded and ran OB10, the global e-invoicing network, which floated in London as Tungsten Corporation Plc.

Alain is also a founding Partner of Firestartr, the seed investment platform that helps post incubator startups cross the chasm to series A and beyond. Firestartr’s global portfolio includes Dataloop, Cronofy, Transferwise, Urban, Second Home, Adbrain, Pacemaker and Yoyo Wallet. Previously he co-founded Omnis Mundi, an e-commerce incubator with operations in Frankfurt, Berlin and Zurich, with successful startups such as BuyVip sold to Amazon in 2010.

Alain is a Venture Partner at Imperial Innovations Plc and a Director at ACE Software and OneLinq.

He was Senior Vice President at Visa International from 1996 to 2000.

Alain holds the Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures Européennes de Management from the NEOMA Business School and a BA Honours degree in European Business Administration from the Middlesex University, London.
