Valerie Nowak is Executive Vice President, Head of Open Banking for APEMEA at Mastercard, where she leads the development and execution of the company’s open banking strategy. In this role, she is responsible for driving innovation, shaping partnerships with fintechs, banks, and regulators, and accelerating Mastercard’s leadership in the evolving open banking ecosystem.

With over 24 years at Mastercard, Valerie brings deep expertise in product innovation, financial leadership, and regional strategy. Prior to her current position, she served as Chief Innovation & Product Officer for Europe, where she led the design and deployment of cutting-edge products to meet customer needs in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

She also held the role of Chief Financial Officer for Mastercard Europe, guiding financial operations and strategic planning.
