Tania Carvalho is a leadership strategist and speaker focused on closing the leadership gap and advancing more women into senior decision-making roles in financial services. With over 20 years of Director-level experience across data, technology and market infrastructure, she has led enterprise growth initiatives, C-suite partnerships and high-performing teams.

Tania is the founder of Powerhouse Consulting, where she partners with financial services organisations to strengthen leadership capability, increase strategic impact and build stronger, more equitable progression pipelines. Her work sits at the intersection of leadership, equity and organisational performance, with a particular focus on the structural and cultural barriers that continue to limit women’s progression into positions of influence.

Tania recently served on the Fawcett Society’s AI Advisory Board exploring how gender representation and bias in artificial intelligence shape opportunity, power and participation. Her postgraduate research further examines how gender attitudes shape legitimacy, investment decisions and leadership outcomes.
