Biography

Takis Georgakopoulos is Co-President, responsible for Merchant Solutions and Technology at Fiserv, Inc.

Before becoming Co-President, Georgakopoulos served as Chief Operating Officer, Technology & Merchant Solutions and a member of the Management Committee.

Prior to joining Fiserv, he served as Global Head of Payments for J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank, responsible for all aspects of the business, including technology, product, sales, and operations. Earlier, Georgakopoulos was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he advised major banks and asset managers, and helped lead McKinsey’s Asset Management practice. He currently sits on the boards of the Neuroscience Institute and Columbia University’s Business School Program for Financial Studies as well as its Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Georgakopoulos has a Ph.D. in mathematical economics, a master’s degree in mathematics of finance, and an undergraduate degree in computer science, studying in Greece and at Columbia University.
