Steven van Rijswijk has been a member of the Executive Board since 8 May 2017. He has been CEO and chairman of this Board since 1 July 2020. Prior to his appointment as CEO and chairman of this board, he was ING's chief risk officer (CRO). Steven van Rijswijk is also chairman of the Management Board Banking and responsible for the Sustainability department. Steven van Rijswijk holds a master’s degree in business economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands
