Sophia is an analyst at 451 Research, an S&P Global company, where she covers the EMEA fintech market.

Her research interests include cross-border payments and remittances, fraud prevention, neo banks and local/alternative payment methods. She has a particular passion for fintech in emerging markets.

Before becoming an analyst, Sophia gained over a decade's experience in financial journalism, where she covered topics including banking, fintech and real estate. She also spent 18 months working as a long-term observer with the Carter Center in Nepal during the Peace Process.
