Onur Genç is Chief Executive Officer of BBVA Group since December 2018. He was previously Chairman and CEO of BBVA Compass and U.S. Country Manager for BBVA Group, a position he assumed in 2017.

Mr. Genç was previously Deputy CEO for Garanti Bank, BBVAs subsidiary in Turkey, a position he assumed in 2015. He joined Garanti Bank in 2012 as Executive Vice President responsible for Retail, Private Banking and Payment Systems.

Onur Genç holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University. He is married with two children, and lives in Madrid.
