Darek is a senior executive in the payments industry with over 15 years’ experience in risk and compliance. He is currently the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at Worldline MS UK, where he oversees the second line of defence (2LoD), including compliance, risk management, and information security. Darek has led key compliance and risk functions within organisations such as Citibank, JPMorgan, and HSBC, as well as building compliance frameworks from scratch in several start-ups.

He has worked across two continents and in three countries, managing both regional and global teams. Holding an LLB degree, Darek combines his strong legal foundation with a deep specialisation in payments, establishing himself as a recognised expert in regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance.
