Benjamin Déplus is a serial entrepreneur turned VC and Partner at Breega. He built and exited two FinTech ventures: Fred de la Compta, a digital accounting firm acquired by Implid (€300M group), and Inqom, a cloud-based ERP platform serving 10,000 SMBs with 150 FTEs, acquired by Visma. In 2015, he secured a patent in AI-driven bookkeeping automation, pioneering convolutional neural networks in accounting workflows. At Breega, Benjamin is a hands-on board member in companies like Dalma, Libeo, Trustpair, Jump, Dattak, Mila, and Fipto, supporting founders from Series A to C. He focuses on FinTech, InsurTech, and SaaS startups generating €3M–30M in recurring revenue, with a particular emphasis on build-up strategies.His dual experience as founder and investor gives him a unique edge in guiding startups through scale-up challenges in Europe’s fast-changing tech landscape.
