Gabriele (Gab) Columbro is an open source executive and technologist at heart, with 20+ years building developer ecosystems to deliver value through open source across Europe and the US. Gab spent his career driving innovation through contributing to open source communities and leading commercial OSS ventures, for an early stage startups or a Fortune 500 firms. Native to Italy, Gab led financial institutions on Wall Street to solve decades long industry challenges through open source. As ED of FINOS, Gab grew the Fintech Open Source Foundation from the ground up to become a trusted arena for the financial services industry to innovate faster, culminating with the merger in the Linux Foundation, the largest shared technology investment in the world.

At FINOS, Gab worked with global players, such as Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Citi, Deutsche Bank and Bank of Montreal and has facilitated the contribution of 50+ projects to FINOS.
