Ruth Wandhöfer is a regulatory expert in the field of banking and one of the foremost authorities on transaction banking regulatory matters. She drives strategic regulatory and industry dialogue and helps shape product innovation.
She chairs a number of influential industry bodies at global and regional level, covering payments, trade finance, innovation in transaction banking and cybersecurity.
In her spare time she mentors FinTech start-ups in London and the US, while pursuing a PhD on blockchain/distributed ledger technology in relation to financial market infrastructures.
In 2015 she was the recipient of the ‘Women in Banking and Finance Award for Achievement’ and she was named on the 2016 Global 'Women in FinTech Powerlist'. She has published two books and regularly speaks at conferences or lectures at University.
