As head of the leading and longest standing Biometric and Identity Management resource -- findBIOMETRICS -- Peter O’Neill is known throughout the industry as a thought leader and vocal advocate for strong authentication. He holds a position in both the Membership and Marketing Working Groups for the IBIA (International Biometric and Identification Association), and is a member of the FIDO Alliance (Fast Identity Online).
A strong believer in accurate and timely information, Peter initiated the largest annual review of the identity management industry: findBIOMETRICS’ Year in Review. Now in its 11th year, this in depth survey investigates the growth and challenges of the identification marketplace. In response to the rapidly growing demand for information about Mobility, Peter launched Mobile ID World in 2013. That same year, he held the first ever Executive Summit to examine the challenges and opportunities associated with mobile ID called Biometrics UnPlugged: Mobility Rules!
With over 25 years of advertising and business experience, Peter has an extensive background in media, both in the online and broadcasting environments. Prior to founding findBIOMETRICS, he launched History Television and Showcase Television in Canada for Alliance Communications.
