Nicolas Raffin started his career with photo group PhotoMe as Product Manager. He then joined Schlumberger Electronic Transactions (later spun off as Axalto, then becoming Gemalto after merging with Gemplus) and spent ten years within the group, in different sales and marketing management roles, in various European countries. He was then hired by US retail giant Safeway Inc to co-launch and develop the continental Europe subsidiary of Blackhawk Network, a leading provider of prepaid products and services later spun-off and IPOed (Nasdaq HAWK).
He joined Oberthur Technologies at the end of 2010 as Head of Product Marketing Payments. He is currently Head of Strategic Marketing & Innovation for the Financial Services Institutions Business Unit.
Nicolas is also the current President of the Smart Payment Association (SPA) and Vice-president of Eurosmart.
He holds a Master in Marketing and a MSc in Technology & Innovation Management.
