Julian is a Managing Director with Accenture’s Financial Services practice, and also leads the FinTech Innovation Lab in London.
During his 27-year career with Accenture he has led the Banking practice for Europe. Latin America and Africa, the Business Consulting practice Financial Services in the UK, and the Strategy practice for Financial Services UK. Julian also founded Accenture’s UK payments practice in 2007.
Julian set up and ran a new BU for Lloyds TSB in 1999 which created a market place and payments service for bank customers.
For the last 5 years Julian has focused on disrupting the banking industry from the inside based on a deep understanding of how to instigate and catalyse change in this complex and controlled ecosystem.
Julian has published white papers on disruptive change in the payments and banking industry.
Julian sits on the Domestic Promotion Committee of City UK, the new entity created to restore faith in the banking industry. Julian also sits on the Corporate User Forum of the Payments Council.
Julian also heads Accenture’s sponsorship programme for the arts in the UK. He lived in France for a year, speaks French and passable Indonesian and German, and has interests in tennis, history, economics, triathlon and Chelsea FC.
