Implementation Trustee to the UK’s Open Banking and Global Head of FinTech, EY
Imran is a London-based Partner for EY in the Financial Services team and leads their Global FinTech practice. He is seconded to run Open Banking Ltd on behalf of the UK’s Competition watchdog to build Open Banking API standards that the 9 largest banks are mandated to use. At EY Imran advises many international financial services institutions on FinTech strategy and serves FinTechs directly helping them to scale up as effectively as possible. He leads EY’s Global FinTech Adoption Index as well as a global benchmarking study on FinTech that was commissioned by HM Treasury. Imran was awarded an OBE by the UK Government in 2017 for his services to FinTech. Outside of EY, he is the Co-founder and Chairman of CommuterClub, a start-up that featured in 2015’s FinTech 50.
