Conny Dorrestijn, 9 August 1963

Listed on the Women in Fintech 2015, Conny Dorrestijn has worked for over 25 years in marketing and business development roles in the international financial technology industry. She currently is responsible for global payments marketing at FIS, after the company had taken over Clear2Pay, where she was Head of Corporate Marketing and Analyst Relations since its inception in 2001.  Key throughout her career is the customer experience in finance and fintech; a theme she has developed throughout her career by working with B. Joseph Pine II and more recently as the financial services Associate Partner at the European Centre for the Experience and Transformation Economies. In the recently published book 'Economy of Experiences'​ http://www.experience-economy.eu/economy-of-experiences-p-20.html/  she contributed the chapter on a new benchmark in banking: 'a boardroom agenda for survival and change'​.

She co-presented the closing keynote at BAI's Retail Delivery for the US banking community in Orlando with Joe Pine on the topic of Authenticity in Finance. In 2011 she opened the two day Global Game Changers in Finance series with a keynote on the generation Babyboom, X, Y and Einstein. In October 2012 she moderated the Global Game Changers track at BAI Retail Delivery and in 2013 in Denver. In 2016 she will lead the Harnessing the Power of Disruption Forum at Payments Connect in San Diego. 

Conny is one of the selection panel members of the FinTech50 and the Fintech Summit for TechTour 2016 and is involved in many international FinTech start-up and VC events and programmes. In December 2015 she was part of an advisory mission to the Dutch Prime Minister with Start-Up Delta, whom she advises on an informal basis on fintech developments and bridge building between the UK and the Netherlands.

She is a non-executive advisory board member to AdviceRobo, Roundcube, Fintech Holland, Synerscope and QiY. In 2015 she partnered with Roger Peverelli and Reggy de Feniks in the launch of the Digital Insurance Agenda, Barcelona (www.diabarcelona.com)., which will take place in April 2016.

Her passion for generation Y and Z is translated in her voluntary work as Financial Literacy Advisory Committee Member for the Global Give Back Circle in Kenya. www.globalgivebackcircle.org. Alongside this role she mentors girls through school from 12-19 and then into a job. The girls than ‘give back’ by becoming mentors themselves. Currently Conny is on her second cycle of mentees, having one girl firmly in a network supervisor role in a Microsoft company in Dubai.
