The size of the opportunity is unrivalled, not just in connecting these groups to the financial services ecosystem but also to transform lives and reduce global poverty. Micro-loans, payments, remittances and mobile banking are just some of the many services that countless communities lack access to. But how can providers ensure that complex and regionally differing demands are met whilst delivering on commercial objectives? What is the best way to provide financial services for the unbanked, and can stable commercial models be geo-cloned into areas with differing regulatory strictures?
