From the smallest FinTech startups to the largest international banks, PSD2 represents a monumental shift in the dynamics of European payments industry. The impact of the upcoming AMLD4.1 regulation will be enormous. Some financial service providers already spend up to $500m annually on compliance. This session will present the first study into how AMLD4.1 will alter the cost of Customer Due Diligence checks, increase risk of punitive measures and impact on customer conversion. Sarah Clark,Mitek, and Steve Pannifer, Consult Hyperion, will present the unique findings, whether existing eID schemes provide a solution and how mobile identity technology can ‘bridge the gap’ where eID is not yet available.

The Open Bank Project started in 2010 with a vision that all banks could benefit from open standard, open source powered APIs. Numerous banks, initially using APIs to support hackathons and innovation programs, are now accelerating to production - in part spurred on by regulation. Simon Redfern, CEO of TESOBE and founder of the Open Bank Project will outline the current state of the Open Bank Project solution and how it can help banks comply with PSD2

Jan-Maarten of Middlegame Ventures will lead an overview of what Quantum Computing is and how it can be applied to Financial Services companies. This session will cover concrete examples of some of the early stage companies involved in this space.
