As Zopa Bank's Chief Strategy Officer, Merve oversees its customer deposits products and Zopa Bank's overall strategy, including corporate development. Merve joined Zopa in 2015 and, since then, has led multiple new product builds and launches.

These include the bank launch which has allowed the company to grow, become profitable and make its first acquisition, and launching Zopa Bank's award-winning Smart Saver product. Merve has over 17 years of experience in strategy, product, and business development. Prior to Zopa Bank, Merve was building and scaling tech companies in China and prior to that in investment banking.
