Biography
Jonathan Gilbert offers a rare, unfiltered view into financial crime — because he’s lived it. Once a high-flying UK solicitor representing celebrities and corporates, he was sentenced to 12 years for his role in a £50 million mortgage fraud conspiracy.
After serving six years in prison, Jonathan rebuilt his life with purpose. He earned an MSc in Counter Fraud and Corruption with Distinction, is completing a PhD on mortgage fraud at Cardiff University, and now lectures in criminology.
As Global Head of Learning & Development at IN8, he trains global businesses and government bodies — including the UK’s Serious Fraud Office, National Crime Agency, and Cabinet Office — on ethics, compliance, and the psychology of fraud.
His story is a masterclass in trust, temptation, and consequence — showing how smart professionals get it wrong, and how organisations can prevent the next fall from grace.
